Brazilian football clubs secure over BR1bn in betting sponsorships in 2025

For the first time in history, sponsorship investments from betting companies in Brazil’s Serie A have surpassed R$1bn ($197m) in 2025, highlighting the expansion of the country’s regulated betting market.
Last year, 12 out of 20 clubs in the top tier had a betting company as their main sponsor. In 2025, that number rose and all 20 clubs now have deals with companies from the segment. The overall value of contracts has grown more than 30% compared to 2024, boosted by new signings and major renewals.
This marks a historic milestone for Brazilian football. While brands from various sectors have invested in club sponsorships over the decades, betting companies have now become dominant with teams, especially since Brazil introduced clearer law for the industry. With transparent rules, taxation requirements and consumer protection mechanisms now in place, international investors are more confident entering the market.
The regulation of the sector has also made the Brazilian market more competitive, which is reflected in the rising value of sponsorship deals. Among the top contracts in 2025, reports suggest the following:
