NYRA and FanDuel/TVG reach new contract agreement
FanDuel/TVG will also make a sizable contribution to the NYRA Foundation to further the impact of non-profit organizations and service providers.
The New York Racing Association (NYRA) announced on July 11 that a new contractual agreement has been reached between the Association and FanDuel/TVG.
“We are pleased to have reached a resolution that will allow FanDuel/TVG customers across the country to wager on NYRA racing now and moving forward,” NYRA CRO Tony Allevato said.
“In accordance with the goals stated at the outset of this process, NYRA will be dedicating significant funding to support New York’s horsemen and strengthen the state’s thoroughbred racing ecosystem.”
As a result of the new agreement being reached, pari-mutuel wagering on the summer meet at Saratoga Race Course will once again be available on TVG/FanDuel platforms. FanDuel/TVG will also be making a sizable contribution to the NYRA Foundation to further the impact of non-profit organizations and service providers active in backstretch services, thoroughbred aftercare and more.
The NYRA Foundation establishes an avenue for businesses and individuals to contribute to numerous endeavors connected to thoroughbred racing in New York.
“We are happy to have reached a multi-year agreement with the NYRA and to extend our 24-year wagering partnership,” FanDuel Racing Group GM Andrew Moore said.
“We look forward to the Saratoga meet and beyond and to supporting the good work of the NYRA Foundation.”
The 2024 summer meet at historic Saratoga Race Course opens July 11 and will continue through September 2. The annual 40-day meet will feature 19 Grade One races as part of 71 stakes worth $20.75m in purses.
On July 5, the NYRA had announced all content regarding the Association would be eliminated from TVG channels and FanDuel wagering platforms due to the contractual impasse.
