Rivers Casino Pittsburgh completes $6.6m renovation
The casino added another ballroom and upgraded the Rivers Ballroom space.
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh has wrapped up a $6.6m property update. The project added the Bridges Ballroom and amenities at the North Shore events and entertainment destination, while also updating its existing Rivers Ballroom.
The property added more than 50,000 total sq. ft of “rentable and reservable” space.
The Bridges Ballroom’s 7,044 sq. ft addition was built “in response to ongoing demand for event space,” the casino said. The ballroom overlooks the Ohio River and offers guests access to a balcony and panoramic views of the river.
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh said in a statement, “Bridges Ballroom, like all special occasion spaces at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, comes with comprehensive in-house event planning services.
“Rivers Casino’s executive chef and expert team of cooks and servers will deliver a custom-curated menu prepared on-site, accommodating everything from receptions to plated dinners, buffets and more.”
With the Rivers Ballroom renovation, the casino replaced its carpet and furnishings. The space first opened to guests in 2011.
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh General Manager Bud Green commented, “With the stadiums and other nearby attractions on the North Shore – not to mention our own full-service gaming floor, BetRivers Sportsbook and The Landing Hotel – our events calendar fills up quickly.
“We’re happy to provide new spaces and more dates for hosting conferences, weddings and special events.”
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh welcomed its first guests in 2009. The casino offers players 24/7 entertainment and is home to 1,900 slot machines, 95 table games, 55 hybrid gaming seats and a 30-table poker room.
