PrizePicks announces launch of The Esports Lab
The new digital product will act as an educational tool for esports enthusiasts.
Daily Fantasy Sports (DSF) operator PrizePicks has debuted its new esports ecosystem, The Esports Lab – which acts as a tailored information resource tool for entry-level fantasy sports players.
As a digital product, The Esports Lab will provide its users with statistics, educational resources and live matches across a range of sports. In addition, gaming titles such as league of Legends, Dota 2 and CS2 will be available as of the launch date – with further additions planned.
Speaking on the launch, Adam Wexler, Co-founder and CEO of PrizePicks, said, “The Esports Lab is truly a first-of-its-kind product innovation. PrizePicks has been an innovator across categories since its inception, investing in areas that our community members love, with esports being at the forefront. I’m excited to see how this new offering builds upon the immense esports growth we’ve experienced to date.”
It has been a busy spring for the company, with this latest update coming off the back of expansion plans for PrizePick’s Atlanta headquarters – which hopes to generate an additional 1,000 jobs in the area. Further, the announcement of a new Chief People Officer in Renee White, and new Senior Director of Responsible Gaming in Phil Sherwood also came in early April.
PrizePicks Senior Director of Esports, Adam Boothe, also commented on the new launch, saying, “We recognized a huge opportunity in the North American fantasy space for traditional sports fans to learn about esports. The Esports Lab provides educational resources and in-depth research digestible for newcomers.
