CDI’s Terre Haute Casino Resort debuts new hotel
The casino opened to the public last month.
The celebration continues in Terre Haute, Indiana as CDI kicks off the grand opening of Terre Haute Casino Resort’s (THCR) luxury hotel space.
The destination held a grand opening ceremony last month to welcome guests to the Hoosier State’s 13th land-based casino.
The hotel portion of the new destination features 122 luxury rooms, a hotel pool, rooftop lounge and coffee shop.
THCR offers players 1,000 slot machines, 35 live table games, a sportsbook and a poker room within its 400,000 square feet of gaming space. The Vigo County resort also has nine food and beverage options.
Among those are the Four Cornered Steakhouse, which is a regionally inspired restaurant, and the Altitude Bar and Lounge, Rockwood Bar & Grill, The Soda Shoppe, Crossroads Center Bar and High Limit Bar.
CDI is the casino’ s owner and operator. The company has extended its casino reach to 14 states.
Company CEO Bill Carstanjen briefly commented on the opening by saying, “Terre Haute Casino Resort has already attracted thousands of visitors from the region to enjoy an unparalleled gaming experience.
“The opening of the new luxury hotel component furthers our commitment to bringing new vibrancy to Terre Haute with this premier entertainment destination and marks a significant milestone for Churchill Downs Incorporated.”
THCR VP and GM Mike Rich said he believes the addition of the casino resort could potentially have a positive impact on the local community.
He said in a statement, “The launch of Terre Haute Casino Resort extends beyond physical structure; it’s about creating a vibrant and integral part of this community, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring this exciting chapter to life.”
