Las Vegas set to host PokerStars NAPT once again
Main Event buy-in has been increased to $5,300 after strong 2023 turnout.
PokerStars has announced that its North America Poker Tour (NAPT) will be returning to Las Vegas from Nov. 1-10, 2024. Resorts World Las Vegas will once again play host to the tournament as competitors will wager for a chance at the NAPT title and millions of dollars in potential winnings.
On the FS1 channel May 10 and the PokerStars YouTube channel May 11, viewers can watch last year’s tournament as a showcase for what’s to come in Las Vegas later this year.
“Resorts World Las Vegas is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of PokerStars and the NAPT this November. After last year’s tremendous success, we are eager to capitalize on that momentum and host an even more spectacular festival in 2024,” Resorts World Las Vegas Director of Poker Operations Leon Wheeler said.
The tournament will be broken into five separate events including the Main Event, Super High Roller, NAPT Cup, High Roller and Mystery Bounty. Buy-ins will range from as low as $250 all the way up to $25k.
Sami Bechahed, a poker dealer out of the US, emerged victorious in the Main Event in 2023, claiming the $269k top prize. The event saw a total of 1,095 entries with the final seven players battling it out at the final table. Bechahed’s wife had also been nine months pregnant when he won, so the prize seemingly came at an opportune time.
“Last year, the NAPT smashed all expectations, so this year, we’re going even bigger. With a premier partner like Resorts World Las Vegas, we’re stepping up our game: bigger tournaments, buy-ins and player-focused events,” VP of PokerStars NA Steve Preiss said.
The PokerStars NAPT won’t be the only event the city of Las Vegas hosts in November, as the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix will return Nov. 21-23 as well.
