Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady announces partnership with NYRA
Rivers Casino to become the official casino partner of Saratoga Race Course and the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival.
With the 156th edition of the Belmont Stakes set to take place on June 8, the New York Racing Association (NYRA) has reached a new partnership agreement with Rivers Casino as purse levels and stake numbers reach new highs. The four-day festival at Saratoga Race Course will begin June 6 and run until June 9, including the New York, presented by Rivers Casino, which will headline day two of the festival. Rivers Casino will work as the presenting sponsor of the Grade 1, $750k race. The NYRA has chosen to increase the purse of the New York by $150k to signify the importance of the race.
The new partnership also makes Rivers Casino an official casino partner of Saratoga Race Course and the Festival which will see 24 different races with purse totals exceeding $10.1m.

“This partnership celebrates the rich heritage of the track and the Belmont Stakes, and fits perfectly with our commitment to provide the very best in gaming and entertainment. We’re beyond thrilled to have Rivers Casino showcased throughout the iconic grounds and look forward to all the exciting racing.”
Rivers Casino will also become the presenting sponsor of The Backyard and Military Appreciation Day at Saratoga Race Course, the latter taking place Thursday, Aug. 22 where veterans will receive free admission and be honored for their service. The Rivers Casino Backyard will feature branding and activations highlighting the gaming and entertainment options available at the Casino and Resort located in Schenectady, not far from the race course.

Finally, Rivers Casino will have one premium giveaway item be offered to fans during the meet, a tradition at Saratoga. The NYRA will be announcing the 2024 giveaway items in the coming weeks.
