CDI concludes United Tote Company sale to New York Racing Association

CDI has successfully completed its sale of 49% of its United Tote Company subsidiary to the New York Racing Association’s subsidiary, NYRA Content Management Solutions, LLC.

Currently, the company has not released additional details regarding the terms of the transaction.

In other company news, CDI recently celebrated its latest casino opening in Terre Haute, Indiana. The casino welcomed guests on April 5, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony that morning.

“Today’s grand opening of Terre Haute Casino Resort is a time to reflect on the promises Churchill Downs made, kept and delivered for this community,” CDI CEO Bill Carstanjen said during the premiere.

“An occasion like today feels like the end of all the effort to successfully get us to this point, but it’s actually just the beginning of what this project can do for Vigo County and the State of Indiana.”

Terre Haute Casino Resort is the Hoosier State’s 13th brick-and-mortar casino. The destination features 1,000 slot machines, 36 live table games, a sportsbook and a poker room within its 400,000 square feet of gaming space.

The Vigo County resort will also offer guests a 122-room luxury hotel, along with nine food and beverage options. Among those will be Four Cornered Steakhouse, which is a regionally inspired restaurant, and the Altitude Bar and Lounge.

THCR VP and General Manager Mike Rich said in a statement, “The launch of Terre Haute Casino Resort extends beyond physical structure; it’s about creating a vibrant and integral part of this community, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring this exciting chapter to life.”

The hotel portion of the resort is scheduled to open May 15.
