This is the latest move in the company’s ongoing plan for expansion within the Latin American region.
As part of his new role, Marchetti will be responsible for “identifying business opportunities to increase the company’s integrity partnerships in the market and as work closely with Sportradar’s Brazil-based integrity analysts,” the company said.
Other duties will include overseeing the integrity relationships between Sportradar, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).
Marchetti has more than a decade of sports governance experience. He graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, where he earned his PhD and Post-PhD.
Before joining the Sportradar team, Marchetti worked for the Brazilian Ministry of Sport as a researcher. He also has experience as a LatAm sports integrity consultant.
Sportradar EVP, Integrity, Rights Protection and Regulatory Services Andreas Krannich took a moment to welcome Marchetti to the team and discussed the region’s need for efficient integrity services.
Krannich said, “As the sports betting market regulates in Brazil, the need for robust and resilient integrity services has never been greater. I’m excited to have Felippe join our team to oversee our work in Brazil and lead our efforts to safeguard the integrity of competitions in this growing market.”
Along with its expanded presence into the South American and Latin American regions, Sportradar’s reach extends throughout North America, including several US states, as well as territory in Canada.
