Ontario, Canada, has become a hotbed for online and land-based gaming in North America. Recently, PowerPlay.com celebrated its fifth year in Ontario. Launching in 2018 and having a registered Ontario license since 2022, the company has called the anniversary “a testament,” according to CEO Dean Serrao.
“Since our launch, the Ontario market has proven to be exceptionally engaged, making this milestone a fitting occasion to celebrate our success in the region,” Serrao said. This is true of many operators in the region both local to and launching from outside of Ontario.
The digital gaming division of Novomatic, Greentube, launched in Ontario in October via a partnership with Mobinc, while Bragg Gaming Group launched in the province via a Remote Game Server (RGS) with bet365 in August.
“We continue to raise our game and find new and innovative ways to engage and entertain our players. We strive to be leaders in this industry and look forward to a bright future in Ontario and beyond,” Serrao also commented.
PowerPlay.com attributes its success in Ontario in part to its payment processing solution, provided via Interac. It also noted its 24/7 customer support and range of betting options for both sports and casino players as part of how it gained success in the province.
Serrao added, “We’d like to say a huge thanks to our players for their support and enthusiasm over the last five years and whose passion for gaming has been the driving force behind our success. Here’s to many more.”
