Delaware October iGaming revenue up 161% year-on-year

October igaming revenue is up…and it is down
Online gambling revenue in Delaware for October was $643,714 – a figure that is both an improvement and a decline, depending on which month it is compared to.
On the plus side, it is a year-on-year increase of 161% from the $246,092 of igaming revenue reported in October 2019. On the negative side, it is down 23% from September, when the state’s operators saw $840,146 in revenue.
After back-to-back months of solid increases, the October 2020 revenue total was the lowest since March, when Delaware had $514,959 in igaming revenue, accordin g to the Delaware Lottery.
Online gaming revenue for the 10 months ending Oct. 31 was $7.1m, up 145% year-on-year. Wagers were $176.9m, up 66%.
Video lottery games brought in $450,428 in revenue, followed by table games ($150,010) and poker rake and fees ($43,276).
Online wagers in October 2020 totaled $17.8m, up 89% from the same month a year ago. Players won $17.2m. The category breakdown was $10.1m wagered on video lottery, with $9.7m in winnings, and $7.7m bet on table games with $7.5m in winnings.
Online wagers were down slightly more than 1% in October from September.
The state’s busiest operator in October was Dover Downs, with $234,983 in revenue from $7m in wagers. Delaware Park dropped from first place to second as it saw $224,489 in revenue on $6.5m in bets. Harrington Raceway was third with $184,242 in revenue on $4.4m in wagers.
