Ainsworth's HHR System has been installed on over 650 gaming terminals and, now, enters Kentucky racino.

Ainsworth Game Technology has installed its Historical Horse Racing (HHR) System at Sandy’s Racing and Gaming in Kentucky. The location offers hundreds of gambling experiences including reels, video reels and video poker for guests alongside horseracing.

Kentucky is a state known for its horseracing, being the home of the Kentucky Derby, which has been in operation for close to 150 years. The 150th race was celebrated back in June. Sandy’s Racing and Gaming plays host to its own race, Sandy Ridge at Red Mile, which had its inaugural race in April 2023.

Via the partnership between Sandy’s Racing and Gaming and Ainsworth, 60% of Sandy’s Racing and Gaming's terminals have now been fitted with the HHR System, accounting for 675 terminals. The partnership has also allowed Sandy’s Racing and Gaming to host a variety of Ainsworth’s games, with guests having 70 to choose from.

Some games are hosted on unique terminals, with examples including the A-Star Dual Screen and A-Star Slant cabinets.

On the partnership, Ainsworth’s President of North America Deron Hunsberger said, “We are excited to have such a strong partner in Kentucky with Sandy’s.

“Ainsworth’s HHR System continues to set the standard in the Historical Horse Racing market, and we look forward to continued success for both Ainsworth and our partners as we continue to expand our presence in Kentucky and other HHR jurisdictions.”

Furthermore, President of Revolutionary Racing and Sandy’s Gaming John Marshall said, “We congratulate Deron and his team at Ainsworth from ‘exec to tech’ for leading with a competitive HHR system option. We look forward to blazing Sandy’s trail with partners like Ainsworth.”
