Chin Dhushenthen will assume the role of Interim CFO.

NorthStar Gaming has announced that its CFO, Jennifer Barber, will resign from the company effective from December 1, 2023 in order to pursue another opportunity.

Chair and CEO of NorthStar Gaming, Michael Moskowitz, gave his thoughts on Barber’s departure from the company, “On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Jennifer for her contributions at an important time in our Company’s development.

“She played a key role in our public listing process, the Slapshot Media acquisition and the establishment of our financial reporting functions. We wish Jennifer the best as she moves into a financial leadership role in a new sector.”

From December 1 2023 onwards, Chin Dhushenthen, who is currently the Vice President of Finance and Compliance at NorthStar Gaming, will take up the role of Interim CFO.

Dhushenthen has more than 25 years of executive experience across a wide range of areas, such as finance, compliance, risk management and technology and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He joined NorthStar Gaming in 2021 and since then has led the development of the compliance and regulatory reporting functions, as well as being involved in the financial reporting process at the company.

Moskowitz added, “We anticipate a seamless transition to Chin as Interim CFO. He has great familiarity with our operations, having previously led our finance team and establishing our compliance system that meets the strict standards of our iGaming license.”

Back in October, NorthStar Gaming revealed that its online casino and sportsbook would soon be made available across Canada with the launch of NorthStarBets.com in the coming weeks.
