Its 43 gaming and racing locations will install Knightscope technology services.

Penn Entertainment has signed a deal with Knightscope, which develops autonomous security robots and blue light emergency communication systems. Knightscope will provide Penn with its technology services for Penn’s 43 gaming and racing properties around the US.

The deal is an expansion of previous collaborations between the two companies. Knightscope recently installed its first K5 Autonomous Security Robot (ASR) in Nevada at Penn’s M Resort Spa Casino, followed by other deployments in Iowa at the Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs, and in Illinois at the Hollywood Casino Aurora.

Knightscope Chairman and CEO William Santana Li commented on Penn’s focus on customer service and safety and said the company is eager to share its technology with Penn Entertainment.

He said, “Penn Entertainment’s commitment to safety and the guest experience is extraordinary. We are overjoyed that we will be providing Knightscope technologies across its portfolio to protect the surge of guests arriving and departing from all of its properties daily.”

Penn Entertainment recently reported “significant progress” after releasing its most recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report for the 2022 business year. The company focused throughout the year on improving its responsible gaming awareness efforts, environmental conservation initiatives and goals toward increasing diversity and inclusion.

During 2022, the company finished a mandatory in-house diversity training program designed for all its team members during the year.

Penn Interactive recently developed data-driven framework that enables the company to track and compile ESG efforts. This year, the company started using ESG metrics as part of its long-term executive compensation program.
