Sports integrity company ProhiBet has partnered with the UFC to utilize its notification platform. Under the terms of the agreement, ProhiBet will implement the platform to aid in monitoring UFC athletes, coaches, employees and officials within the UFC who are not allowed to place bets on in-house UFC events.
ProhiBet designed its program to function as a comprehensive solution that “monitors compliance with regulatory requirements for prohibited persons via an encrypted decentralized cross-monitoring and notification platform.” The program involves sports properties, regulators and sports wagering operators.
UFC EVP & General Counsel Riché T. McKnight said the group is excited to partner with ProhiBet because both companies have similar goals to maintain sports betting integrity.
He commented, “One of the foundations of UFC’s success is our dedication to embracing regulation and compliance to promote safety and fairness in our sport.
“Our collaboration with ProhiBet is another step towards strengthening our integrity controls by helping us to enforce our anti-gambling policy and support the integrity of our sport.”
Prohibet Managing Director Matt Heap echoed similar sentiments and commended the UFC for its commitment to accountability and responsible gambling.
He said, “We are thrilled to partner with UFC – the combination of ProhiBet's state-of-the-art encrypted data transfer system and UFC’s dedication to upholding the integrity of sports will undoubtedly enhance the transparency and trustworthiness of sports betting activities.”
The UFC recently signed a multi-year partnership with free-to-play social casino Roobet.fun. The deal will give Roobet.fun prominent branding throughout the Octagon during select Fight Night and Pay-Per-View events.
Through the partnership, Roobet.fun will represent the UFC as its official social casino. The duo will work together to distribute both custom and original content on the UFC’s digital platforms and social media channels.
