The company remains hopeful that the pending deal will conclude within 30 days.

Play Synergy has released details regarding a pending acquisition deal for Aruze Gaming America’s slot machine operations, as well as its online gaming and land-based assets. The company believes this move will “significantly enhance Play Synergy’s presence in the gaming industry.”

The transaction remains subject to both regulatory and court approvals. However, Play Synergy said “it is confident” the deal will close within the next month.

As part of the agreement, Play Synergy will be responsible for Aruze’s slot route and operations, and will assume control over service, sales and support of those departments. The company said it desires to maintain quality customer service as the pending deal moves forward.

The group said in a statement, “Play Synergy understands that this process can be unsettling to Aruze’s current customer base and wants to reassure each of them that our team, including those that will be joining us from Aruze, are committed to a smooth transition along with a focus on excellence in customer service.”

Play Synergy President Frank Feng said the contract is possible because of collective efforts involving stakeholders from both companies. Feng also took a moment to discuss the company’s efforts to provide reemployment options for Aruze staff.

He commented, "Aruze, Play Synergy, and all other stakeholders in the process have worked exceptionally well together to provide the vast majority of Aruze team members with new employment opportunities.

“This along with interest from others in the industry has had the result of minimizing the disruption to those impacted and their families."
