Simon Fothergill appointed as CITO for San Manuel Band of Mission Indians

He will work with Chief People & Infrastructure Officer, Brigitte Saria, on all technology-related growth strategies for the Tribe's hospitality and casino business.

Simon Fothergill has been promoted to the role of Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO) by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Tribe. He joined San Manuel in 2019 and started as VIP of IT Business Services.

His previous responsibilities have included sourcing talent, technology, products and systems, in relation to both the opening of San Manuel’s Yaamava' Resort & Casino in Southern California and the general support of Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Before joining the Tribe, Fothergill worked with Pinnacle Entertainment and Aristocrat Technologies where he ascended to roles including: Regional Support Manager, Director, VP and CIO.

Foghergill’s degree is a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool. He also earned certificates in technology, management and leadership from MIT Sloan, Columbia Business School, Villanova University and not-for-profit organization, the Project Management Institute.

San Manuel’s Chief People & Infrastructure Officer Brigitte Saria, said, "We are very proud of Simon's achievements. Simon has successfully driven numerous IT initiatives at a critical period of growth for the Tribe. We are thrilled to have him joining our senior leadership team."

Fothergill will report to Saria and work to supervise growth, strategy and development for the San Manuel ‘technology roadmap’ related to all things gaming, hospitality, entertainment and business.

Fothergill said, "It's an honor to be given this responsibility and an exciting opportunity to be tasked with executing the Tribe's vision.”

Recently, San Manuel’s Yaamava’ Resort & Casino also appointed a new General Manager, Kenji Hall.
