Tropicana Las Vegas Resort and Casino will host daily poker tournaments in a cardroom inspired by Maverick's poker pro CEO.

Maverick Gaming has announced a partnership with Bally’s Corporation to create a new poker venue at Tropicana Las Vegas Resort and Casino. The new Maverick Gaming Poker Room will be next to Bally’s Big Bet Poker live-stream broadcast studio.

The cardroom operator aims to set up an atmosphere for every level of poker player, from pros to rookies. The room also aims to offer the ‘lowest rake on the strip’ and hold tournaments twice a day.

Jeremy Weinstein, Maverick Gaming CMO, said, “This will not be your typical run-of-the-mill poker venue, it's a place where adrenaline meets attitude and poker dreams come alive.”

Arik Knowles, VP & General Manager for Tropicana Las Vegas, said, “We are very excited to be working with Mr. Persson and Maverick Gaming in an effort to also raise the stakes on inclusivity and affordability, treating players of all levels like VIPs at our tables.”

Maverick’s own Co-Founder and CEO, professional poker player Eric Persson, will be playing against other high rollers and pro players on Bally’s Big Bet Poker, as part of the agreement. The series is set to feature renowned guests from poker world champions to Hollywood celebrities.

Houston Curtis and Rich Mahr, of Outlaw Media Group, arranged the deal between Maverick and Bally’s, as the executive producers of Bally’s Big Bet Poker live-stream series.

Curtis commented, “When Bally’s gave us the opportunity to expand the Bally’s Big Bet Poker brand to the Tropicana Las Vegas, we immediately thought of Eric as a tremendous asset, both on and off the felt. Persson’s industry expertise and proven ability to build successful poker rooms superbly aligns with Bally’s omnichannel network.”

The Maverick Gaming Poker Room will announce a date for its grand opening on The Strip soon.
