The gaming testing lab will function independently as a GLI subsidiary.

The GLI Group has gained all outstanding shares of international gaming testing laboratory, iTech Global Pty Ltd. Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, iTech Labs will be GLI Australia’s wholly owned subsidiary.

According to GLI’s official statement, iTech Labs will continue functioning as a global testing network. The group will operate independently “while coordinating its efforts with GLI's larger sales and back-office staff globally.”

GLI President and CEO James Maida said the company is eager to work with iTech’s leadership.

He said, "We are pleased iTech will continue to be branded as iTech and will operate as they have over the past 19 years.

“We are pleased that Kiren Sreekumar, Geoff Nicoll, nAni Srinivasan and the entire management, testing and sales teams will continue to operate and be licensed in the jurisdictions they serve.”

Through the acquisition, iTech’s clients will have access to GLI’s worldwide network that includes laboratories and mutual relationships with regulators around the globe.

iTech Labs Chief Executive Kiren Sreekumar discussed the company’s future and noted that both share similar values when it comes to offering quality customer service.

Sreekumar commented, "The GLI Group shares our values and deep commitment to providing our customers best-in-class service and are exceedingly pleased with this investment.

“While iTech has achieved great success over the past many years, with the GLI Group's support we are confident that iTech's growth will be enhanced and thereby benefiting our customers."

GLI has tested equipment in more than 480 jurisdictions and has certified almost two million items since its founding in 1989. The company’s global network is present on six continents.
