The company noted it has made progress in its environmental and workplace improvement efforts.

Penn Entertainment has published its 2022 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report. The company reported “significant progress” in its efforts throughout the year to improve upon its responsible gaming awareness efforts, environmental conservation initiatives and goals toward increase diversity and inclusion.

The company finished a mandatory in-house diversity training program designed for all its team members during the year.

Penn Interactive recently developed data-driven framework that enables the company to track and compile ESG efforts. This year, the company started using ESG metrics as part of its long-term executive compensation program.

Penn completed the Responsible Gambling Council’s (RGC) RG Check Program and earned an RG Check Accreditation, which is a comprehensive responsible gaming award. The RG Check Program equips iGaming sites with resources that can be used to monitor, evaluate and manage gambling risks.

Penn is the first US operator to complete the RG Check Program.

President and CEO Jay Snowden said the company is pleased with the progress made during the past year.

He commented: “I am proud of the significant progress we made last year in growing our CSR efforts in the areas that matter most to our team members, customers, community partners and key stakeholders.

“Through the tireless efforts of our ESG and Diversity Committees, in partnership with our Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Corporate Board of Directors, we expanded our DE&I initiatives and sustainability efforts, while furthering our support for the underserved in our communities.

Snowden went on to affirm the company’s desire to continue supporting CSR initiatives.

He concluded by saying: “In the year ahead, we are committed to continuing to advance our CSR priorities through the ongoing creation of new and sustainable initiatives that reflect our unique PENN culture and are at the heart of our company’s core values.”
