Horseshoe Casino’s year-long remodel and transformation has concluded with an official grand opening, complete with confetti cannons and traditional “Jubilee!” showgirls. There are 10 Horseshoe properties currently operated by Caesars across North America.
Caesars Entertainment was presented with a commemorative horseshoe from Jack Binion and his family to bring the brand luck. Binion’s family opened the original Horseshoe Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Horseshoe was “started by a gambler for gamblers” in 1951.
Jack Binion’s Steak hosted a reception for invited guests, led by VP of the World Series of Poker, Jack Effel. A Q&A session was held between Binion, sports bettor and philanthropist Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale and Poker Hall of Fame inductee Doyle Brunson.
New features at the reimagined Horseshoe Casino include: a 180-foot-tall marquee; a 7,000-square-foot arcade venue, featuring games from classics like skee-ball to a virtual reality “King Kong;” Jack Binion’s namesake steak restaurant; Chef Martin Yan’s “Yan-tastic” M.Y. Asia restaurant and a World Series of Poker Hall of Fame Poker Room with 18 tables.
Horseshoe Casino will host the World Series of Poker from May 30 – July 18. The first tournament was played in 1970 at the original Las Vegas Horseshoe Casino. Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen restaurant will also open in summer 2023.
Jason Gregorec, SVP and General Manager of the property, said, “The arrival of Horseshoe on The Strip marks a significant moment for Caesars Entertainment, the Horseshoe name and the entire destination.
"Not only are we excited for guests to experience the redesigned resort and its latest offerings, but we are also proud to reintroduce the historic gaming brand to Las Vegas.”
