Americas Cardroom (ACR) has announced that its latest charity tournament, for the United Breast Cancer Foundation, raised $17,110. The event took place on International Women’s Day – March 8.

The $10,000 tournament charity tournament cost entrants just $55 and resulted in a total prize pool of $16,700. There were 334 entries and all the women playing were credited with a $55 ticket into another ACR tournament as a token of appreciation for their participation.

As the tournament played out several prominent ACR figures and social media influencers discussed breast self-exams on the ACR Twitch stream. Involved in this talk were ACR Pros Katie Lindsay and Ebony Kenney and popular influencers Nikki Limo and Caitlin Comeskey.

Speaking after the tournament, ACR Team Pro and passionate United Breast Cancer Foundation supporter, Katie Lindsay said: “I was delighted when ACR agreed to host another charity tournament for the United Breast Cancer Foundation.

“I’m overwhelmed with the success of this event. Raising even more money than last time was so wonderful and I know the money will go towards helping so many people that really need it.”

The donation of $17,100 will be used to support families and individuals who are dealing with breast cancer through community service measures. These measures include targeted support like breast scanning and reconstructive surgery.

ACR is not the only gaming operator to have celebrated International Women’s Day. Choctaw Casinos & Resorts celebrated seven female associates by highlighting all the achievements they had made during their tenure at the company.
