The Pennsylvanian-based casinos are offering prospective table game dealers various perks.

The Rivers Casinos in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have mounted a region-wide campaign to attract both experienced and trainee table game dealers to join their staff. The Rivers Casinos (owned by Rush Street Gaming and Holdings Acquisition respectively), have done this by offering the highest-known base rate in Pennsylvania.

Starting dealers will earn a base salary plus tips which typically adds up to $30 an hour, while experienced dealers will exceed this income.

Other River Casino employment perks include: healthcare; immediate 401(k) vesting; tuition reimbursement; and free team member parking.

Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming CEO Tim Drehkoff commented: “When it comes to dealers’ pay, Rivers Casino brings more to the table. We also provide a great environment. Rivers Casino in both Pittsburgh and Philly have repeatedly been voted a ‘Best Place to Work’ and ‘Top Workplace’ by our Team Members.”

Both Rivers Casino locations strive to offer a fun, supportive and inclusive workplace culture with flexible schedules and opportunities for advancement.

For candidates interested in earning certification for conventional blackjack and other table games, the casinos are offering to cover the cost of the dealer training course, and also compensate trainees for classroom time.

Prospective Rivers dealers can accelerate their base pay by learning multiple games including roulette, baccarat and craps. Each additional game drives dealers up the pay scale and adds variety to their workday – which enables the casinos to have more options for mutually beneficial scheduling.

No prior casino experience will be needed to apply for these roles and applicants from all walks of life are being encouraged to apply. This includes veterans, retirees, career-changers, current students, recent graduates or professionals looking to supplement their current earnings.
