The online gambling site is the official supporter of South America for the tournament.

Betano, the online gambling operator, is building on its partnership with FIFA from the 2022 World Cup – by teaming up with the football association again for the 2023 Club World Tournament.

It will be the official sponsor for South America and Europe; this year’s Club World Tournament kicked off in Morocco on February 1 and finishes on February 11.

Betano will leverage the proprietary platform and rich portfolio it formulated in Qatar 2022. It will offer responsible gaming options to millions of global football fans during the ongoing Club World Tournament.

This tournament pits the winners of six continental champions against each other, along with the winner of the host nation’s top-flight league – Wyad AC.

The company’s CCO Julio Iglesias Hernando commented: “In 2022 we were honored to partner with FIFA on a World Cup. After a historical FIFA World Cup Qatar 202, we are thrilled to extend our collaboration as Official Supporters of the Club World Cup in South America and Europe.

“We at Betano love football, and partnering with FIFA brings us closer to the sport, and to millions of football fans around the world allowing us to offer them an engaging, superior quality and responsible sports betting experience.”

Betano is a Greece-based company that is a subsidiary of Kaizen Gaming, also headquartered in Greece.

It has been attempting to make inroads into the LatAm gambling market and sees soccer partnerships as an ideal way to appeal to South America’s gigantic sports betting demographic.

Betano is live in 10 jurisdictions, having made its first North American market entry with Inspired in Ontario in November.
