The company now operates in three US states.

Novomatic Digital Gaming and Entertainment division, Greentube, has gained approval by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection for an online gaming service provider license. The company can now partner with operators statewide.

This is the latest in series of moves as Greentube expands its North American footprint. Greentube is now licensed a licensed supplier in three US states, including Connecticut, New Jersey and Michigan.

Connecticut players will have access to Greentube’s platform of titles, including Diamond Cash: Mighty Emperor, Diamond Cash: Mighty Elephant, Diamond Cash: Mighty Sevens and Diamond Cash: Oasis Riches.

The supplier said it plans to later develop other titles tailored to a US audience.

Group CFO and CGO Michael Bauer said: “North America continues to be a key region for us and in gaining a third US state licence, we have achieved an important step in our growth journey. There is major potential within the US market and having acquired additional development capabilities to cater to local players, we believe we are well-placed to serve the market with premium content.

“We are looking forward to teaming up with operators in Connecticut and can’t wait to see how players in the state react to our portfolio.”

Sports betting and iGaming in Connecticut has been live since October 2021. Since the market’s launch, the state has generated more than $1bn in iGaming revenue, representing an all-time high for December 2022.

During the past year, the company has significantly grown throughout North America, with its recent partnership with Entain Gaming Group, after receiving approval for a supplier license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
