The lottery partner will provide digital support to improve player engagement and retention.

Pollard Banknote has been awarded a digital support contract by the North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL). It will provide the Lottery with digital support and related services, following a successful competitive procurement process.

The contract's initial term runs until October 31, 2025, and can be renewed in one-year increments for up to three additional years. This team-up solidifies a decade-long relationship between these two parties which currently includes an iLottery solution (through their joint venture NeoPollard).

Pollard Banknote will procure a fully integrated omnichannel player engagement and loyalty program, and will also offer scratch-off tickets and related marketing support to the NCEL.

The scope of the contract is primarily focused on providing analysis and insight into online traffic patterns across the Lottery’s channels. Pollard Banknote wanted a partner to help continue to heighten the standard of its online experience and add value beyond the scope of its existing contracts.

NCEL Executive Director Mark Michalko commented: “We wanted a partner with the proven know-how to play a pivotal role in our Lottery's future by fortifying our digital assets within this highly specialized space.

“Pollard Banknote's leadership can help us responsibly grow sales to benefit statewide education initiatives by presenting innovative multichannel solutions, optimizing for high-quality searches, and providing exceptional digital support and services."

Pollard Banknote VP of Digital Engagement Shannon DeHaven reflected Michalko’s enthusiasm at this contract confirmation.

She remarked: “We look forward to collaborating with the NCEL to establish a sophisticated strategy that vastly improves the customer journey across its digital channels, which will meaningfully enrich the user experience and ultimately affect revenue."
