The site is set to go live later this year.

Acquisitions services provider Gambling.com Group has added another web domain to its list of sites with the recent acquisition of Casinos.com, a highly coveted industry domain.

The site is scheduled to launch later this year and will initially be available for players in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK, according to an official company release.

The company's latest gain joins the list of other sites in Gambling.com Group’s portfolio, including Gambling.com, Bookmakers.com and Bookies.com.

Group VP of Commercial & Casinos Lee Gwilliam explained the company’s reasons for obtaining the Casinos.com domain.

He said: “For players in the current market, you have to go to many different places to get what you need. We think there is no one market-leading really great resource just for casino players that focuses purely on casino. We want players to get whatever they want from the site. That’s why we’re by players for players.

“We’ve taken the best of the best from across the business and put them together. This is not just another product or website. Our plan is to build something special.”

Group Co-Founder and CEO Charles Gillespie said Gambling.com Group has always been a casino-focused company. He described this latest move as a strategic measure for a deeper focus on the casino industry.

He commented: “We’re incredibly excited to have acquired the domain Casinos.com. We don't think a better domain exists for us to share our incredibly deep knowledge of the online casino business with online casino players.

“As a company, we have always prioritized acquiring the ‘right’ domain names for our portfolio, which is clear from our namesake Gambling.com but also Bookies.com and Bookmakers.com.”
