Upcoming mobile launch front and center for campaign in the Old Dominion.

Betfred USA Sports has teamed up with Loudoun United FC.

Loudon becomes the operator's official sports betting partner, an agreement that has been formed in preparation for Betfred Sportsbook's mobile launch in the state of Virginia.

The mobile Betfred Sportsbook is expected to be formally launched in Virginia in early 2023, adding to upcoming launches in Maryland, Ohio and Nevada set to arrive shortly, pending regulatory approval.

Betfred USA Sports COO Bryan Bennet said: “Betfred has a long history of successful sponsorships of soccer clubs in the UK and we couldn’t be more excited to enter into our first partnership in the US with Loudoun United.

“The club has built a solid foundation over the last four years, and we look forward to a long partnership to build the Loudoun United fanbase and Betfred Sportsbook in Virginia over the coming years.”

Meanwhile, LUFC Executive Business Officer Doug Raftery added: “Our partnership with Betfred enables us to enhance the fan experience and helps provide additional opportunities to engage with our ever-growing Red-and-White Community.

“We look forward to working with Betfred to create a great environment on and off the field for seasons to come.”

Sports wagering in the US just enjoyed a surprisingly healthy World Cup. This is best summed up, perhaps cheesily, by GeoComply's Sam Basile, who said: "They say Americans don’t like soccer, but they certainly got a kick out of betting on the World Cup."

Back in August, Betfred turned its attention to the ice, signing a multi-year sponsorship with the Iowa Wild American Hockey League team.
