Johnson joins the team with more than 20 year of experience with the PGA Tour.

Virtual fantasy sports league SimWin Sports has recruited former PGA executive and member of the Orion Business Advisors, Paul Johnson, to its advisory board.

His responsibilities will include advising in the arenas of team sales, digital media, international broadcast and streaming.

Johnson spent 20 years with the PGA Tour, serving on the tour’s executive committee for eight of those years. During his time with the PGA, Johnson offered his leadership to aid the tour in expanding its digital footprint.

Company Founder and CEO David Ortiz said on behalf of the company that Johnson is a welcomed addition to SimWin's board.

He commented: “We are pleased to welcome Paul, a very familiar face, to SimWin. He has worked closely with several of our executives in the past.

“Paul’s extensive network and accolades in the industry are simply remarkable; and we are thrilled to have him join our incredibly senior team of advisors to enhance further our digital media, international broadcast, and streaming assets, as well as to increase future team sales.”

Johnson said he looks forward to taking on this new role and said this is a key moment for the company to focus on its growth strategy.

He said: “I am ecstatic to join my colleagues and longtime business partners, David Ortiz and Tom Goedde, in this new and exciting venture. My experience with all facets of sports, digital media, esports and creating new business growth will be instrumental to continuing to kickstart SimWin's growth.

“I look forward to advising the team to help SimWin shape its business and build strong partnerships to accelerate growth."
