BonusFinder.com revealed that a combination of factors could go into the state leading the industry next year.

According to BonusFinder.com, Ohio is expected to jump to the top of the sports betting industry after the state goes live on January 1, 2023. The website also expects the location to be the leading sportsbook-only state in the US.

The figures show that factors including the largest number of pre-approved licensees will increase the state's chances. Sports betting group Betr and six professional sports teams are just a few of the reasons listed.

According to the latest figures from the Ohio Casino Control and Lottery commissions, the state’s combined 11 facilities reported $188.6m in revenue in September.

It was also revealed in the report that Ohio is the seventh-most populated US state with only one million fewer potential customers than Pennsylvania which collected $793m in betting revenue in January 2022.

Not long ago, the company announced a partnership with BetJack, to let players in Ohio practice betting on their platform with a free no-risk experience.

The BetJack mobile betting platform will officially go live on January 1, 2023, just in time for the NFL playoffs. Jack Entertainment is the parent company responsible for BetJack and launched a television spot for the brand.

Jack Entertainment Senior Vice President of Sports & Digital Gaming Adam Suliman said: "Ohio is not just a state -- it's a state of mind, a code of conduct, and a badge of honor. For our players, there's an unapologetic hometown pride.

"We're thrilled BetJack is the only sportsbook app with real insight into the Buckeye state."

BetJack is already available to be downloaded but real-money wagering won't begin until the start of the year.
