This donation is allocated to fund AI research into responsible gaming.

Axes, an IT management and payments platform for gaming, has made a $150,000 donation to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). This contribution is intended to accelerate the university’s research into artificial intelligence for use in responsible gaming.

UNLV Director of Research Brett Abarbanel commented: “We are thrilled to have Axes.ai's support in advancing our responsible gambling research into quantitative artificial intelligence applications.

"Axes.ai's commitment to mitigating gambling harms aligns with our own goals of employing the most advanced methodologies to understand, predict and prevent the potential harm associated with gambling.

“We are grateful to Axes.ai for their dedication to responsible gambling and their contribution to UNLV research."

Axes President and CEO Earle G. Hall emphasized that his company’s aim is to ensure the land-based gaming industry maintained a safe environment for gamblers.

He stated that advancements in AI gaming technology would make this achievable while maintaining the “fun and profitability” of the industry.

Hall commented: “The eradication of money laundering and addictive gambling is at the heart of who we are as a company. The UNLV research in quantitative prediction is centric to what we believe to be as essential to eliminating the finite bad so that we can all focus on the infinite possibilities with deep, rich data."

Axes has a strong record of investing in technology, which it believes will increase the enjoyment of the gambling experience.

This July, it secured a partnership with Hivestack, a marketing technology company, that gave it access to programmable digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising – operating in over 25 countries worldwide.
