Players can qualify through the poker app for cash prizes in the tournament’s four divisions.

The Match Poker Online World Cup is coming around the corner, with playoffs set to kick off on December 3-4, with the finals scheduled for December 10-11. Match Poker Online is a poker app where games are organized in a battle royale format.

This event is set to offer big cash prizes for hundreds of eligible players that have competed online on the app throughout the year. The winner of the main event – the Ruby division – will win $625, while the top three competitors in all four divisions will all receive cash prizes.

Match Poker has a feature where competitors can work on their skills by comparing their play and decisions to others on the platform who played with exactly the same hand. For instance, if you are holding a pair of Aces but someone else is betting heavily on a board with straight and flush draws.

The app lets you see what the top players would do in your shoes – hope your opponent is bluffing – or take the tough decision to fold the best starting hand in the game.

Player Michael Cheung agrees that the statistics aspect of the game has allowed him to improve upon his skills and translated to superior performance on live poker tables.

Qualifying players for this World Cup event come from across the globe, including app users from India, Barbados, Hong Kong and Australia. The Barbados player, Peter-John Rodriguez, ranks No 3. on the Match Poker Online platform.

Qualification isn’t over yet and those hoping to get in on the action can still win entry through the Match Poker Online app.
