Bet99, a Canadian-based online sports betting and casino platform, has teamed up with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) to assist in integrity monitoring. The company recently gained licensing approval by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, as well as from iGaming Ontario.
The recent approval paves the way for Bet99 to offer online gambling services to Ontario players.
Bet99 Head of Sportsbook André Bewerungen said about the partnership: “Joining IBIA, the world’s leading independent integrity monitor, is critical to our sportsbook strategy, in which trust, integrity and protection are prioritized for our Canadian customers.
“We are delighted to combine forces with IBIA to combat foul play in sports, as well as betting-related corruption and manipulation, providing our customers a safe and enjoyable environment.”
Through the collaboration, Bet99 joins a larger network of regulated betting operators that feed into IBIA’s worldwide betting integrity monitoring service.
IBIA CEO Khalid Ali said the organization is pleased to welcome Bet99 into the fold.
Ali commented: “IBIA is delighted to welcome Bet99 to the association. The move highlights Bet99’s commitment to integrity and further cements IBIA as the leading integrity monitor in Ontario, with more than 75% of licensed online betting operators having joined the association.
“IBIA looks forward to collaborating with Bet99 in Ontario and within the operator’s wider international betting operations to safeguard those markets from fraudulent betting activity.”
IBIA recently secured licenses in several states, including Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Wyoming. The association has also applied to the Canadian province of Ontario, which similarly requires operators to be part of an integrity monitoring system.
The organization has recently been recognized by The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario as an independent integrity monitor.
