GGPoker’s 2020 World Series of Poker's $5k Main Event and $25m prize mark the biggest guarantee in online poker tournament history.

GGPoker’s 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $5k Main Event and $25m prize represent the single largest guarantee in the history of online tournaments.

Starting on 16 August, the Main Event will last three days, with multiple freezeout Day 1s, with Day 2 taking place on 30 August.

In addition to the Main Event, GGPoker is offering 54 bracelet events, running from 19 July through 6 September, with various buy-ins ranging from the $25k NLH Poker Players Championship to the $50 BIG 50, the lowest ever buy-in WSOP bracelet event.

“We knew GGPoker would go big on the WSOP Online Series, but this is ridiculous,” said Ty Stewart, WSOP executive director. “The single biggest guarantee in the history of online poker is exactly what this once-in-a-lifetime event deserves.”

GGPoker’s WSOP 2020 online schedule mostly comprises no-limit hold’em with ample opportunities for pot-limit Omaha fans, and bracelets also available in limit hold'em and short deck. Additionally, GGPoker will run a series of micro and low-stakes tournaments leading up to the WSOP.

Satellites will commence on 1 July, as well as throughout WSOP Online itself.
