PointsBet, a global sportsbook, has announced the debut of Stoppage Time with Ian Joy, which will be hosted by the titular American-born Scottish broadcaster. This will be the second season of the show, produced from its new studio in NYC, and it premieres on November 17.
This announcement comes on the back of PointsBet launching its Soccer OddsFactory integration. The OddsFactory proprietary technology gives the operator access to over 130 betting markets, including most of the regulated US ones.
Joy, also a former soccer player, will be presenting full game previews, betting insights and more for every single World Cup match. The new content will be integrated with existing betting markets available on the PointsBet app.
The first episode will air three days before the opening game of the World Cup, providing bettors with all the insights they need to start placing wagers. Episodes will be released every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and be made available on all podcast platforms, YouTube and PointsBet's social media channels.
PointsBet USA SVP of Content Liam Roecklein commented: “We're building PointsBet to be the premier destination for all things World Cup – from market-leading live betting options to best-in-class content.
“The interest in soccer continues to grow among the US betting community and we're tapping into that with the debut of our new show Stoppage Time with Ian Joy. Whether you're new to soccer or a veteran, this show will deliver a whole new experience for bettors."
Joy will be joined by an array of experts and former players, such as the ex-US defender Jimmy Conrad, betting analyst Jon Eimern and social media influencer Alex Ramos. They will be broadcasting live from Qatar.
Joy commented: “I'm honored and privileged to be partnering with a leading sportsbook like PointsBet to create one-of-a-kind soccer content for the World Cup and beyond. This World Cup will be unlike no other, and I'm excited to bring soccer fans and bettors a new way to enjoy every second of the tournament."
