Tilman Fertitta acquires California’s Montage Laguna Beach Resort Hotel

Tilman Fertitta has completed a deal to acquire California’s Montage Laguna Beach Resort Hotel. In addition to this property, Fertitta currently owns 14 hotel properties, including five Golden Nugget casinos and hotels, as well as the San Luis Resort in Texas.

Montage Laguna Beach General Manager Mary Rogers said the hotel is excited about partnering with Fertitta and hopes visitors will continue to enjoy the destination.

She commented: "The staff is thrilled to be working with Tilman. Everyone here at the property is tremendously excited about his purchase and look forward to continuing to provide a world-class experience to all of our guests.”

Montage International Founder, CEO and Chairman Alan Fuerstman echoed Rogers’ sentiments.

He said: "We are thrilled  Tilman is the new owner of this one-of-a-kind property and welcome him into the Montage family.”

Travel + Leisure has listed Montage Laguna Beach as one of the top hotel resorts in the world. The destination sits on 30 acres of beachfront property on Laguna Beach and has 260 rooms overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Fertitta spoke about his frequent visits to the area and said he is excited to add the property to his portfolio of luxury destinations.

He commented: "I have been traveling to Laguna Beach for over 30 years. It is one of my favorite places to visit and one of the most beautiful areas in the world. The Montage is a stunning oceanfront property and one of the premier hotel brands in the world.

"I am truly thrilled to acquire this world-renowned property and add one of America's most iconic trophy resorts to our luxury hotel portfolio.”
