Limited seating of adapted room encourages online reservations.

After being closed for months in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sahara Las Vegas poker room returned today.

Sahara Las Vegas joins The Bellagio and Caesars in Thursday openings of poker rooms.

The Orleans, South Point and the Venetian have all previously reopened their poker rooms in Las Vegas.

In a release, Sahara Las Vegas said the room will be open daily from 6pm to 2am and offer a variety of poker games.

Players are encouraged by Sahara Las Vegas to reserve seats online through PokerAtlas, as tables will be limited to five chairs to comply with social distancing guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Contactless procedures have been implemented as part of the casino’s health and safety protocols in the Sahara Cares program. Limited seating at all table games in the casino has resulted in a new online reservation program being credited as “one-of-a-kind” by Sahara Las Vegas.

Sahara’s “Take a Seat” program, introduced by the casino on Tuesday, allows groups of players to make online reservations for blackjack, roulette and baccarat tables in the casino up to 72 hours in advance.

“This service will support households traveling together so they can make arrangements to play the same live game,” Sahara Las Vegas said in the release.

Sahara Las Vegas said the “Take a Seat” program is limited to select table games but will add more in the future.
