The two companies will provide Scratch Ticket Manufacturing and Services

Pollard Banknote has been awarded a contract from the Texas Lottery Commission to provide Scratch Ticket Manufacturing and Services.

The agreement extends the partnership through 2034, and includes the rollout of the group’s easyVend In-Lane ticket vending solution to retailers across the Lone Star State.

“Our strong history with Pollard Banknote has allowed us to work closely to bring many new games and innovative products to market,” said Texas Lottery Executive Director Gary Grief.

“Their expertise in the scratch ticket and retail categories has helped us to introduce unique concepts that maximise revenues that benefit all Texans. We are excited to once again partner together to deliver products and services that delight players and grow our lottery business.”

Pollard Banknote noted that its easyVend solution allows players to add traditional scratch tickets to an existing transaction within a multi-lane retail environment, with the Texas Lottery now able to leverage new sales avenues to grow revenue for the philanthropic causes it supports.

The Texas Lottery reported sales of $8.29bn in FY 2022, the 12th consecutive year of record-breaking sales, with scratch ticket sales reaching $6.72bn and accounting for 81% of overall sales.

Pollard Banknote Vice President, Sales & Marketing Brad Thompson commented: “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with the Texas Lottery through this new contract.

“For over two decades we have collaborated with the Lottery to deliver innovative scratch ticket products that excite and engage players.

“With the inclusion of our easyVend solution, the Lottery can now augment sales at multi-lane retailers through increased product awareness and new points of distribution to its players, leading to greater returns for good causes throughout the state.”
