FanDuel has renewed its strategic partnership with Sports Injury Central (SIC), a source for sports injury news and assessments. SIC will now be the Official Injury Expert of FanDuel and provide various types of injury content for its bettors, and daily fantasy players.

SIC is a free-of-charge injury resource for the NFL, MLB, NBA and CFB. The company relies on its panel of five former professional team doctors, who have over 100 years of medical experience in the NFL, NBA and MLB between them.

The doctoral team is led by Dr. David Chao, a Harvard-educated orthopedic surgeon who was the head team physician with the San Diego Chargers for 17 years. Dr. Chao, also known as ‘Pro Football Doc’, is renowned for his accuracy in diagnosing and assessing injuries sustained by pro-sports players.

SIC central president and co-founder Craig Dado commented: “We are thrilled to partner with the leader in sports betting and daily fantasy sports. FanDuel will provide SIC with broader exposure to bettors, fantasy players, and fans. And we are happy to give FanDuel customers a competitive advantage with access to our injury data and insights.”

The injury resource company summarizes the health of each professional team they deal with using its proprietary SIC Scores, an injury grading system that is powered by algorithms that incorporates the health of every individual player.

The SIC Scores give bettors and fantasy players an accurate injury assessment of players, teams and matchups, lending them an advantage when it comes to making wagers.

In addition to SIC Scores, the company provides other content, including long-form articles about the health status of players and teams, real-time updates about the status and effectiveness of players in-game, SIC Picks for recommended wagers and more.
