It hopes this GLI certification will spur investment in its betting platform.

Sparket, a pari-mutuel betting platform, has announced that it has been certified to Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI) event wagering system. The company believes this certification from an esteemed testing lab will position Sparket to offer its live event betting platform for real money wagering in regulated jurisdictions.

The company is simultaneously launching an equity crowdfunding raise on the crowd investing platform, ‘StartEngine.’ With the validation gained from its GLI-33 certification and initial partnerships, Sparket hopes to spur an opportune time for investors.

Sparket believes the crowdfunding of its StartEngine will allow it to provide customers with a trusted, simple, and secure platform to facilitate investment processes. The minimum investment is $250 for those looking to get a stake in the new platform, which Sparket is promoting as the ‘future of event wagering.’

Sparket co-founder and COO Evan Fisher commented: “GLI certification is a massive milestone for our company. Our tech team has been hard at work for over a year building key compliance, security, and reporting features that will give prospective partners confidence that the Sparket platform is robust and ready for action!"

The pari-mutuel betting company has been making moves all across the US, having announced a strategic partnership with USBookmaking in 2021 and partnering with Cahuilla Casino Hotel earlier this year.

Sparket's stated mission is to democratize event wagering through expanded content in traditional sports, esports and live events via a community-based social platform. It features self setting pari-mutuel odds that limits operator exposure and has a proprietary system designed to crowdsource event data.
