Sportradar has announced an alliance with the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), becoming its official data, betting streaming and integrity partner. It will distribute the CPL’s cricket data on all of its media outlets.
This partnership with the CPL encompasses the league’s Hero CPL, Massy Women’s CPL and Sky Exch 6ixty competitions, which Sportradar will support with all of its data capabilities and services. In addition to data, each year the company will offer audiovisual streaming content from 38 CPL matches (both men’s and women’s) and 19 6ixty matches.
Sportradar will also supply integral components for the CPL website, such as a match ticker. It will also provide a new match center that will deliver live scores and commentary, among other entertainment content for its customers.
This move by Sportradar shows its interest in the LatAm and Caribbean markets.
Hero CPL Head of Marketing Chris Watson commented: “We are delighted to be partnering with Sportradar for the Hero Caribbean Premier League, Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League and Sky Exch 6ixty.
“Their unrivaled match center gives fans the ability to follow matches from our tournaments wherever they are, which is another way we can bring our fantastic supporters even closer to the action.”
From a broader perspective, this deal builds on Sportradar’s existing cricket partnerships with organizations such as the International Cricket Council, Cricket Ireland and the Tamil Nadu Premier League.
Sportradar managing director for strategic and content Eric Conrad commented: “This partnership will increase the Caribbean Premier League’s visibility around the world and contribute to its continual growth by connecting it with 2.5 billion cricket fans globally through Sportradar’s global customer network.”
