Peterson brings 15 years of online and land-based casino experience.

Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG) has named Tim Peterson as its Director of Cashless Gaming. Peterson will oversee the company’s electronic money management (EMM) team.

Through his 15-year career, Peterson has experience in both online and land-based casino operations, a quality EKG said is essential for the company’s strategic initiative to better serve its clients within the cashless gaming market.

EKG Managing Director of Electronic Money Movement Jerry Rau noted that Peterson’s lengthy career in both land-based and online casinos gives him a “unique perspective.”

Rau said: “Tim brings a unique perspective to clients given his experience on both the operator and supplier side of the industry.

“This combination of skills and experience has given him unique insights into today’s cashless gaming challenges.”

Peterson expressed his enthusiasm to step into this role and said he believes cashless gaming can close the gap between physical and digital operations.

He commented: “Cashless gaming has the potential to change the way we view payments and guest service in retail gaming markets.

“I am excited to help the industry bridge the gap between the digital and physical operations with digital cashiers being the primary driver.”

EKG is a boutique market research and consulting firm. Focused on the global gaming industry, the company provides services to the gaming equipment, sports betting and interactive gaming sectors.

It works with equity firms, casino operators and payment providers through its electronic money movement. The company has been offering both analysis and insights into the cashless gaming market for the past several years.

EKG is based in Irvine, California.
