Scientific Games has announced a contract extension with the Colorado Lottery. This extension will see the lottery evolve its Scratch game business through the ‘Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership’ (SGEP) program.
The program is part of a more comprehensive commitment to responsible gaming as both companies contribute to Colorado’s parks, trails, pools, open spaces and schools. The companies have been partners for nearly 40 years now.
The SGEP is used by seven of the top ten instant lotteries in the world and provides nearly 40% better performance (in weekly per capita retail sales) when compared to US lotteries that don’t use the program.
Using SGEP, Scientific Games will provide the Colorado Lottery with instant game design, portfolio management services, technology-driven analytics, game manufacturing, advanced logistics, marketing, sales support and licensed brand services.
These advanced logistics are powered by the company’s patented Scitrak and Ordercast systems, which direct inventory management and distribution across a network of more than 3,000 Colorado Lottery retailers.
The contract extension will also give Colorado Lottery retailers access to 500 SCiQ units, which will give Coloradan retailers real-time visibility and control of their instant game technology.
Scientific Games President, Americas and Global Instant Products, John Schulz, commented: “This is an exciting opportunity for the Colorado Lottery and Scientific Games teams to expand our work together to entertain players and benefit environmental and education programs in the state. We look forward to taking our collaborative efforts to the next level through an SGEP partnership that includes our SCiQ technology.”
Colorado Lottery Director Tom Seaver was also pleased with the extension, saying: “We are focused on responsibly maximizing our returns for good cause programs in the state. This contract extension with Scientific Games will bring operational efficiencies to the Lottery and our retailers.”
