Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), an iGaming supplier, has signed an agreement with Kings Media, signaling its intention to target the Ontarian market. GiG will provide its platform to leverage its extensive experience into a fast-growing and complex jurisdiction.
GiG CEO Richard Brown commented: “We see great potential in Ontario, particularly when we can harness the operational experience of operators like Kings Media. We look forward to maximizing potential through a successful launch into the market, and anticipate this to become a successful client for GiG.”
GiG believes its platform and solutions are perfect for expansion into newly regulated areas; Ontario only legalized sports betting on April 4, so fits into this category.
The GiG – Kings Media agreement entails a three-year period with the opportunity for an extension at the end of it. Kings Media has decades of operational experience, although this will be its first venture into North America. GiG believes Kings' team has the casino industry knowledge to aid its Ontarian expansion.
Since the Canadian province opened for iGaming in April 2022 it has seen instant success.
GiG already has one partner in Ontario that is ready to launch this upcoming quarter; Kings Media, meanwhile, will go live in the first half of 2023.
Kings Media CEO Volodymyr Harkusha commented: “In our quest to expand to the exponentially competitive Ontario market, we were looking for an industry-leading, future-ready partner. GiG fits the bill perfectly.
“We are looking forward to working together with GiG on the mutual challenges ahead and we are certain that this collaboration will enable us to gain a significant foothold in the Ontario market.”
