Rush Street Interactive (RSI), a US-based online casino and sportsbook, has partnered with Neccton to adopt its player protection software. It plans to utilize this software for its BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse sites in North America.
RSI is the first US company to use Neccton’s software, and its online casinos and sportsbooks in the US and Ontario will now offer additional player safety with ‘mentor,’ Neccton’s real-time data analysis player protection software.
Mentor tracks online play, identifying problematic play patterns that may indicate the need for intervention. It aims to flag these cases to both the operator and the players themselves.
The tool recognizes triggers such as a sharp elevation in deposit frequency and alerts the operator. It also directly contacts the player, warning them about gambling addiction and helping them make better-informed decisions.
Neccton’s Director and Head of Development Dr Michael Auer commented: “Our research shows that players who gamble responsibly are more loyal, and their customer lifetime is significantly longer, so there is real value when a player is cared for by an operator.
“It’s a validation of our software’s capability that RSI has joined our ever-growing customer base, and we look forward to many years of partnering with RSI to help look after its players.”
RSI CEO Richard Schwartz agrees with Auer on the benefits of player protection. He said, “RSI is committed to the execution of our corporate social responsibility strategy, which prioritizes and embeds responsible gambling into the core of our operations.
“It is imperative that we ensure both our valued players and team members have the resources necessary to help ensure a culture of responsible gambling and sustainable play. We believe in the immediacy of directly contacting a player at the first sign of possible at-risk behaviors, to keep gameplay fun and safe.”
