Dream Hotel Group has partnered with Shopoff Realty Investments and Contour to begin developing an ambitious casino on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. The 532 room lifestyle hotel and casino ‘Dream Las Vegas’ is slated to open in 2024 and has a $550m estimated building cost.
It will pair global architecture firm DLR Group with interior designer AvroKo, as they undertake this large-scale project. Dream Las Vegas will have seven experiential dining and nightlife venues, 12,000 square feet of meeting space and a 20,000 square-foot casino.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the casino took place last Friday, with Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak attending along with other high-profile politicians and businessmen.
Dream Las Vegas is expected to generate significant tax revenue and create 4,000 new direct and indirect construction jobs. As well, it will offer flourishing residential and business communities a new reason to visit Las Vegas.
Sisolak commented: “The Dream Las Vegas development is a great investment in our local economy – to boost tourism and create thousands of new jobs. I'm excited to see the resort come to life in 2024… extending our state's long history as a leader in hospitality and tourism."
Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson believes that the $550m expected cost of the new venue will be eclipsed by the revenue it generates. He states: “This is a reset on the development of Las Vegas Boulevard to finish the work that needs to be done and Dream is the leader of that reset. The result is something we're all going to be proud of."
The Las Vegas Strip is inundated with casinos and hotels but Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein believes they will offer something “distinctly iconic.” Stein commented, “We are not just building another hotel, we are building an experience, and one that we hope will contribute substantially to the future of Las Vegas.”
