Entain Foundation has launched responsible gaming NFTs that aim to educate the public on the dangers of problem gambling. The proceeds from the sale of these NFTs will be donated to the Charles Oakley Foundation.

With this move, Entain Foundation hopes to spread awareness on the dangers of gambling and educate the public on how to gamble responsibly. Entain Foundation is focusing on the ‘9 Markers of Concern’ that indicate gambling addiction, which include signs such as neglecting work or school in order to gamble.

The NFTs, created in partnership with Enlighting Media, are a group of sharp, brightly-colored 2D designs and GIFs, representing the nine markers of disordered gambling. Entain Foundation has coordinated its NFTs with its responsible gambling app, Gamble Responsibly America. This app provides practical tools, assistance and advice to those potentially struggling with gambling addiction.

The series of NFTs will include interesting visuals to represent the nine markers, including blinking eyes to represent late-night play and an array of calendars to represent an excessive amount of depositing days.

Entain Foundation’s Senior VP for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling Martin Lycka believes the modernity of the NFTs will help shine a spotlight on gambling addiction. He says: “Education and awareness are at the core of Entain Foundation US’ preventative approach to encouraging responsible gambling.

“These NFTs are a memorable, digestible way to teach people how to recognize the nine markers of a gambling problem.”

Entain Foundation is a first-of-its-kind non-profit dedicated to responsible gambling, sports integrity and corporate compliance in the US. The foundation was launched in 2019.
