DraftKings releases iGaming, mobile sportsbook products in Ontario

The launch will give players throughout the province a chance to wager on a variety of professional sporting events.

DraftKings has launched its online sportsbook and online casino products in the Canadian province of Ontario. More than 130 online casino game variations will be available to Ontario’s residents. They will also have access to DraftKings’ parlay options, including its same-game-parlay feature.

Players with iPhone or Android can download the DraftKings Sportsbook app on the App Store or Google Play Store.

Online gaming in Ontario has been live since April 4. Local lotteries have traditionally dominated Canada’s gambling sector in the past. According to H2 Gambling Capital, Canada’s combined online sports betting and iCasino markets in 2022 are estimated at more than $2bn.

Ontario is projected to become one of North America’s largest iGaming markets once open.

Players throughout the province will be able to place wagers on various professional sporting events, including the 2022 NHL Playoffs, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer and the FIFA World Cup.

DraftKings was started in 2012 by Jason Robins, Matt Kalish and Paul Liberman. Its sportsbook is live in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.

DraftKings is also the official sportsbook provider of the Oregon Lottery has an exclusive market access partnership with Tulalip Tribes of Washington to bring its retail sportsbook to the state.
