Caesars customers will be given preference at sports betting lounge.

Caesars Sportsbook has sealed the deal with one of the most august sporting competitions in the United States after it became the official sports betting partner of the Indy 500 and of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).

The collaboration is effective immediately, with Caesars to act as sponsor for the remaining races on the IMS 2022 calendar. In fact, the Las Vegas-based gaming operator has already begun sponsoring, with the first race under the aegis of Caesars having been the GMR Grand Prix on Saturday, May 14.

As part of the deal, there will be a sports betting lounge constructed in the Pagoda Plaza area of the speedway. Users of the Caesars Sportsbook app will be treated as VIPs here: complimentary food and drinks, live entertainment, and racing games with prizes and giveaways.

As is usual in deals such as this, Caesars will have access to IMS branding and logos, both in the physical world and the digital. There will be, too, IMS experiences distributed through the Caesars Rewards program.

In comments, Co-President of Caesars Digital Eric Hession underscored the pedigree of the speedway and the race: “The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indy 500 are iconic American sports traditions. Partnering with one of racing’s most iconic venues and ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing’ provides our customers with unique experiences through Caesars Rewards.

“This will be an impactful partnership for us that builds upon our commitment to the state of Indiana alongside the investments into our resorts and the communities they serve.”

Nor is this Caesars’ first foray into Indiana: the company already has a presence at Harrah’s Hoosier Park as well as the Horseshoe Hammond Casino.
