Spotlight 29 has agreed to become the official casino partner of both the Coachella Valley Firebirds and the Acrisure Arena.

In a new and exclusive deal, the Spotlight 29 casino, a property owned and operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians, has become the founding partner of the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the 32nd American Hockey League (AHL) franchise.

The Firebirds, which will debut this fall, will play in the Acrisure Arena, a location that is also part of this new agreement.

Per this deal, participants in the operator’s members club, named Club 29, will gain access to exclusive deals with the Firebirds and the Acrisure Arena.

"We respect the tribe immensely and have long identified their leading position in bringing outstanding content to the Coachella Valley," said Tim Leiweke, CEO of Oak View Group.

"We all share the same vision to build a strong region, and we're honored to be working with them during such an important time of the growth in the Valley that will bring our teams and communities together to celebrate sport and entertainment."

The Spotlight 29 casino features over 1,600 slot machines, a selection of table games, a blackjack offering and a series of restaurants and bars for guests to utilize.

The Acrisure Arena is set to open in December 2022, the music and sports arena will feature more than 11,000 seats and has been designed to serve residents in the greater Palm Springs area of Southern California.

The owners of the Spotlight 29 casino are the Chemehuevi people who have traditionally inhabited parts of California, Utah, Arizona and Southern Nevada.
